Pay per performance SEO- does it work?

SEO ADVICE

Pay per performance SEO is starting to become a more popular form of SEO because it allows companies to manage their risk, but does it necessarily work?

A SEO company working on a pay per performance basis will be incentivised to deliver on the objectives set. This can mean you get a bargain and free SEO for the first few months.

Potential Negatives

A SEO company will usually charge slightly more money for a pay per performance campaign becaus they are taking more of the risk. If your campaign is easy to optimise then you would be best on a standard pay as you go seo campaign.

If the campaign doesn't go well after a certain period you need to ensure the SEO company will continue to work hard for you and not pushyou to the back behind other, easier, accounts! This is especially true if you sign a long term contract. If the SEO company doesn't forge on with your account then you could spend 6 months in a contract where your website can't improve- this in turn will cost your business and stop it progressing.

Pay per performance SEO?

Essentially pay per performance SEO will work well for some companies, more so than others. Speak to a SEO company willing to offer you flexibility and a range of SEO products
